Bouquets: In good hands of ace medical team

In good hands of ace medical team

Following a bad fall outside a coffee shop in Clementi, I was admitted to the National University Heart Centre on Aug 12 and had surgery on a 3cm open wound above my left eyebrow.

With deep gratitude, I will remember Dr Ng Jun Jie, the brilliant registrar and vascular surgeon who treated the wound with consummate skill and heart-warming care.

I also thank Dr Ng's associates in the operating theatre, the nurses in Kent Ridge Wing Ward 2A and Dr Dharmaraj Rajesh Babu, the exceptionally talented vascular consultant who supervised the entire healing exercise.

I stayed 24 hours in a well-appointed en suite bedroom that overlooked a garden of lush greenery and lively koi fish.

By any criterion, the National University Hospital is an iconic national gem.
