Bus captain makes trips a pleasure

Last week, I boarded bus service 174 from Watten Estate towards Farrer road at 9am and was greeted by a very friendly "Good morning" from the bus captain.

He proceeded to greet everyone who boarded. He also shouted out the names of each bus stop, and waved goodbye as he said "Have a nice day" to all alighting passengers.

He also made sure he did not miss picking up anyone waiting at the bus stops - he would give a soft honk on his horn in case they had not seen his bus.

On the same day at about 3pm, I took bus service 174 again from the bus stop in Orchard Boulevard and was greeted by the same bus captain.

I noted down the bus number plate - SBS8987B.

Kudos to the bus captain for making travelling on his bus so much more pleasurable. He is a real asset to SBS.

Pharmacist dispenses cheer too

I was at Bukit Batok Polyclinic on Tuesday, and pharmacist Neo Lay Choo dispensed my medication. She took pains to inform me of the new packaging of the generic medicine.

She carried out her duties with a smile. She also handed me a little message that said: "Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more - H. Jackson Brown, Jr."

I was elated with the message of goodwill.

The good service she provided brightened my spirit.
