I have a suggestion to mitigate the situation of online sellers offering bespoke essay-writing services to students ("Online student essay services still thriving"; last Monday, and "Student essay services are a form of cheating" by Miss Susan Tan Lin Neo; last Tuesday).

Online marketplaces should create a function that detects users who use the terms "essay writing", "project work" or "presentation services" in marketing their products.

A message can be automatically sent to alert them that paid essay-writing services are prohibited on the site.

However, there must be a distinction between people who provide paid submissions and those who just provide guidance in improving an assignment.

At the end of the day, it is up to the academic integrity of each individual.
