Allow disabled to vote by post

My wife and I are in our late 70s, and my wife has a disability and is a wheelchair user.

We depend on our children for our subsistence.

When my wife goes out, it entails calling a taxi and engaging a helper to push the wheelchair.

This expense is a substantial one in our scheme of things.

As voting is compulsory, we have to incur significant transport expenses to visit the polling station and return home.

It is surely not the intention of the authorities that we should be out of pocket in fulfilling our duty to vote in the election.

Could the Government come up with an inexpensive way of exercising this compulsory activity?

My suggestion is to have postal voting for the disabled.
