SINGAPORE - The world's top Street Fighter players will descend upon Singapore this weekend to compete in a $2,000 fighting video games competition.

Singapore's Xian Ho Kun and Tokido from Japan, the defending champion and runner-up of Street Fighter Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2013 respectively, will be fighting for the top spot in the Ultra Street Fighter IV game - one of five fighting games at the South East Asia Major 2014 competition which starts tomorrow (Friday) and ends Sunday at the Alienware Arena cybercafe in Chinatown.

The Street Fighter champion at SEAM 2014 automatically qualifies for one of the 16 coveted spots in the Capcom Cup in December in California where the world's best Street Fighter gamers will meet.

Mr Xian, the first Singaporean to win Street Fighter Evo last year, will be fighting hard to win a spot for the Capcom Cup. He says "The best players in the world are here to compete at SEAM2014 this weekend."
