For the first time, two kids' orchestras - Anglo-Chinese School (Junior) String Orchestra and Kids'philharmonic@sg - have applied to perform at this year's charity concert ChildAid 2013. The annual concert, which is in aid of The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, will be staged on Dec 6 and 7 at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands.

Young budding talents who can emcee, sing, dance, play a musical instrument or do circus or acrobatic acts can now apply to be part of the annual charity concert, ChildAid 2013.

It has been eight years since ChildAid had its first edition. The annual concert that showcases the best of young Singapore musical talent has taken on a more classical sheen, with the Orchestra Of The Music Makers as its resident ensemble.

Call for ChildAid 2013 performers

Last December, some 210 young performers dazzled the audience at the nearly full-house ChildAid Concert at Marina Bay Sands Grand Theatre - and helped raised a record $2.08 million for two children's charities. You too can be part of of this exciting showcase of young talents and help the less fortunate kids.

Think you sing, dance, emcee, play a musical instrument or perform circus acts? Then ChildAid 2013 is just for you!

Just send us a video of your act with your name, age (you must be no older than 19 on Jan 1, 2013), contact details and a short write-up on why you want to join this charity concert to: childaid@sph.com.sg by June 8, 2013. Your file attachment must not exceed 15Mb. Shortlisted entrants will be invited for auditions.
