Strong demand at Alex Residences preview sales

Overwhelming demand at preview sales of Alex Residences, a 429-unit residential project near Redhill MRT, has led the developer to bring forward the launch.

The project moved about 150 units in preview sales that started on Wednesday afternoon, developer SingLand told The Straits Times.

The project was scheduled to launch on Saturday but will now launch on Thursday, said Mr Michael Ng, group general manager of UIC, SingLand's parent company.

Mr Ng said SingLand originally put up 150 units for sale on Wednesday but released 50 more due to demand.

Units at the project were sold at an average of $1,650 psf. Buyers were mostly Singaporeans and permanent residents, with a few Malaysian and Chinese buyers.

Mr Ng said sales were evenly distributed between one-bedders, two-bedders and three-bedroom units.
