Share prices on the Singapore Exchange fell in mid-day trading with the benchmark Straits Times Index down 29.19 points or 0.92 per cent at 3,144.13.

Benchmark indices of most other Asian bourses were also lower on mixed global data.

Some 1.25 billion shares worth over $600 million were traded on the local bourse. Losers led gainers 223 to 85 while 488 counters were unchanged.
