StanChart Singapore CEO Ray Ferguson leaves for Arab Banking Corp

Standard Chartered Singapore chief executive officer Ray Ferguson is leaving to join Bahrain's Arab Banking Corporation (ABC).

ABC said in a statement on Wednesday that Mr Ferguson will join it in the second quarter of this year as group chief banking officer.

ABC, founded in 1980, is listed on the Bahrain stock exchange. Its major shareholders are the central bank of Libya and Kuwait Investment Authority.

The Scottish-born Mr Ferguson, who became a Singapore citizen in 2010, spent 28 years at StanChart.

While at the bank he held various roles around the world, including chief executive officer in the United Arab Emirates, chief executive officer for the Americas in New York and chief executive officer for South-east Asia in Singapore.
