Spring scheme has helped more SMEs collaborate with large organisations

A programme which encourages large organisations to collaborate with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has supported 20 such partnerships since April, involving almost 130 SMEs.

The Partnerships for Capability Transformation (Pact) scheme, funded by Spring Singapore, aims to support knowledge transfer and innovation.

Under the Pact programme, SMEs can receive funding for up to 70 per cent of qualifying project costs.

The programme, which was introduced in 2010 by the Economic Development Board (EDB), was expanded in April to include additional manufacturing sectors as well as non-manufacturing sectors.
