Share prices on the Singapore bourse rose for the fourth straight day with the benchmark Straits Times Index closing 35.69 points or 1.16 per cent higher to 3,123.89.

Gainers outpaced losers 297 to 150 while 356 counters were unchanged.

Some 5.04 billion shares worth $1.41 billion were traded.
