Singapore blue chips inched ahead on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index rising 5.02 points or 0.16 per cent to 3,229.91.
Index gainers included StarHub, which rose five cents, or 1.17 per cent, to $4.32. On Tuesday, the telco had reported a 16 per cent jump in net profit to $101 million for its second quarter.
Genting Singapore rose three cents, or 2.2 per cent, to $1.365. The integrated resort operator had said on Tuesday that second-quarter net profit rose 1 per cent to $140.2 million
The wider market painted a muted picture. Decliners outnumbered gainers 217 to 195.
