Road map for electronics sector

Singapore's electronics manufacturing sector is getting a leg-up, with the aim of growing it to have a manufacturing value-add of $22.2 billion and creating 2,100 jobs for professionals, managers, executives and technicians by 2020.

The Industry Transformation Map for this sector comes via a two-pronged strategy.

First, Singapore will diversify into new growth opportunities in the electronics sector.

Second, the existing base of electronics manufacturers will need to embark on transformation.
