14 industrial sites to be launched for second half of 2015

SINGAPORE - A total of 14 sites were released under the Industrial Government Land Sales (IGLS) programme for the second half of this year.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) said in a statement on Monday that the 14 sites - comprising 10 in the confirmed list and four in the reserve list - will total 14.3 hectares.

Sites in the confirmed list are launched according to schedule, regardless of demand, while those in the reserve list are launched for tender only upon successful application by a developer.

The confirmed list sites include five plots in Tampines Industrial Drive, four in Tuas South Link 2 as well as one in Tanjong Penjuru.

Each site comes with a 20-year land tenure. They are zoned Business-2 (B2), which allows heavy industrial use, and range from 0.41 to 1.63 hectares.

Under the reserve list, the four sites are spread across Tuas South Link 1, Tuas Bay Close, Tampines Industrial Drive and Woodlands Height.

The sites, which range from 0.55 to 3.33 hectares, have a 30-year tenure, except for the plot at Tampines Industrial Drive, which has a 20-year tenure.

Apart from the Woodlands Height site, which is categorised under Business-1 for light and clean industrial use, the sites are earmarked under the B2 zone.

"The Government will continue to release sufficient land through the IGLS programme to provide adequate industrial space in Singapore," said MTI.
