SALES of new private homes halved in April from March as the pace of new launches slowed.

Developers sold 1,375 units last month, compared with a record 2,793 units sold in March.

Buyers in April bought units at projects such as Sant Ritz in Potong Pasir and Jade Residences in Upper Serangoon, according to data released on Wednesday by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

They also continued to snap up units at some projects that were launched in March, such as Bartley Ridge at Mount Vernon Road. Bartley Ridge was the best-selling project in April with 154 units sold.

Including executive condominiums, a total of 1,547 private homes were sold last month, URA data showed.
