Morning business news round-up for May 14, 2014

1. Ong Beng Seng, Wheelock raise offer for Hotel Properties (HPL) to $4 per share. The offerors also said they will not deduct HPL's full-year dividends for 2013, of eight cents a share, from the offer price.

2. DHL breaks ground for $160 million facility at Tampines LogisPark. The 90,000 sq m facility, DHL's largest in Singapore, will be developed by Cache Logistics Trust and is due to be completed by the second half of next year.

3. Technics Oil and Gas consortium bags $166m contract to set up gas facility. The mainboard-listed firm said on Wednesday that the contract includes two years of operations and maintenance for the facility.
