Mainboard listed Ley Choon Group Holdings has commissioned its second asphalt premix plant.

The new plant, at No. 3 Sungei Kadut Drive, covers a total leased land area of 17,296 square metres.

It is adjacent to Ley Choon's current asphalt premix production facility.

The new plant will enable Ley Choon's production capacity to more than triple from its current capacity of 175 tons per hour to 575 tons.

"This will enable us to meet the expected rising demand of hot mix asphalt in road and airfield pavement construction and maintenance projects in Singapore," said Ley Choon executive chairman and chief executive Toh Choo Huat.

The plant is also equipped with 10 storage silos and total storage capacity of 1,000 tons for finished products.

The increase in production and storage capacity will enable Ley Choon to raise on-site productivity at high traffic road sites which have limited operational hours.

Third party customers who purchase asphalt premix from Ley Choon will also minimise their waiting time at the plant when collecting the hot mix asphalt.
