Knowledge City in Guangzhou will make IP protection a priority

Intellectual property (IP) protection wil be a key focus in the development of the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, said Mr Luo Weifeng, chairman of the Knowledge City Administrative Commitee.

He was speaking at a forum held on Wednesday to promote business opportunities in the city.

The 123 sq km Knowledge City is the third urban development joint venture between Singapore and China, after Suzhou Industrial Park and the Tianjin Eco-city.

Six memorandums of understanding and a letter of intent were also signed on Wednesday, to strengthen collaboration between Singapore and Guangdong across a range of industries.
