Four industrial land plots in Tuas were launched for sale on Friday by JTC Corporation, which is putting them up for public tender.

The sites are earmarked for "Business 2" development, which encompasses light industry, general industry and warehousing uses. Each of the four has a lease of 21 years and 5 months.

Two of the sites are located in Tuas South Street 13 and have a land area of about 80,000 sq ft each.

A third site is in Tuas South Street 6 with a land area of almost 50,000 sq ft. The last site, in Tuas South Street 11, has a land area of nearly 80,000 sq ft.

The public tender for the sites closes on Feb 7 next year at 11am.

JTC said an additional four sites at Tuas South will be released in February and March next year, followed by small sites in other areas.

"In line with the Government's efforts to make industrial property more affordable, smaller plots with shorter tenure have been released since mid-2012 to meet the demand of industrialists who prefer to custom-build their own facilities," said JTC in a press release.

"These small sites have been well-received by industrialists and prices have begun to stabilise."
