December is my favourite month of the year. There is something festive in the air and there are reasons to catch up with friends over a drink - preferably over something hot, as we tackle the cooler weather recently.

It is also the time to shop for gifts for friends and, in my case, I also have to make a list of the presents to prepare for my three kids. Thankfully, only the eldest one is old enough to have stringent demands on what she would want under the Christmas tree.
