Five residential sites able to yield about 3,000 homes were released for sale by the Government.

One of the sites at Geylang East Avenue 1 is a reserve list site. The other four - at Choa Chu Kang Grove, Yishun Avenue 9 and Sims Drive - are on the confirmed list.

Reserve list sites are put up for tender only if developers make an acceptable initial offer, while those on the confirmed list go on sale regardless of interest.

The 67,146 sq ft site at Geylang East Avenue 1 was triggered for sale after a developer lodged an offer of at least $95 million for it.

Both parcels at Choa Chu Kang Grove, each about 177,129 sq ft, are for the development of executive condominiums, while the 221,239 sq ft plot at Yishun Avenue 9 is for a private development.

The largest site - at 771,772 sq ft - at Sims Drive will be put on the market on Dec 30.

The other four sites are up for sale on Monday.
