Firms on the Straits Times Index to start reporting results next week

Quarterly earnings reports for the 30 stocks that make up the Straits Times Index are scheduled to begin from next week.

On Monday, July 15, media and property company Singapore Press Holdings will be the first index constituent to report, according to a report from SGX My Gateway, the bourse operator's investor education portal.

Keppel Corp and CapitaMall Trust are also slated to unveil their scorecards next week.

Listed companies are required to announce earnings on a regular basis. Most STI companies release their earnings every quarter, with the exception of Jardine Strategic Holdings, Jardine Matheson Holdings and Hongkong Land Holdings.

Hongkong Land Holdings has confirmed the release of semi-annual earnings on Aug 1, said SGX My Gateway. Jardine Strategic Holdings and Jardine Matheson Holdings have confirmed the release of half-yearly earnings on Aug 2.

During the approaching earnings season, Olam International and the Singapore Exchange are scheduled to release their full year results.
