SEOUL (AP) - Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has met South Korean President Park Geun Hye in Seoul to discuss ways to stimulate entrepreneurship and venture firms in Asia's fourth-largest economy.
Ms Park's office said Mr Zuckerberg assured the South Korean leader that Facebook would continue to invest in the country, and he invited South Korean firms to jump on Facebook to reach global users.
Mr Zuckerberg's visit is the latest in a series of meetings between Ms Park and high-profile US technology pioneers.
In April, Ms Park met Microsoft Founder Bill Gates and Google CEO Larry Page in her office.
Ms Park sees fostering startups and entrepreneurship crucial to raise South Korea's employment rate to 70 per cent before the end of her five-year term.
Mr Zuckerberg is meeting executives at Samsung Electronics before leaving Seoul later on Tuesday.
