Singapore's Sept exports edge up 0.9%

SINGAPORE - Singapore's non-oil domestic exports ticked up 0.9 per cent last month over the same period last year as electronics shipments flagged, trade agency IE Singapore said on Friday.

This came after a 6 per cent hike in the preceding month.

Electronics exports shrank 4 per cent over last year largely due to lower shipments of PC parts, integrated circuits and disk drives.

Non-oil re-exports increased 4.2 per cent in September after a 5.6 per cent contraction in the previous month, as a rise in non-electronic shipments outweighed weak electronics re-exports.
