ITE student scores with CFE logo design

Ms Hazirah said of her logo: "The letter E is made to look like a ladder. This portrays the idea of achieving future excellence and goals at every step we take. It is in 3-D because I feel we have to look at things from different angles."

A final-year student at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) School of Design & Media is behind the new logo for the Committee on the Future Economy (CFE).

Ms Nur Hazirah Su'aidi, 19, was one of six ITE visual communications course students who submitted ideas. ITE had seemed the keenest on collaboration when the committee approached schools to design its logo, said the Committee.

Ms Hazirah's logo was picked as "it best signifies our youth's aspirations for the future, and the vibrant, forward-looking spirit of the CFE," the Committee said. The logo will be used on CFE materials and website, which is linked to the portal managed by the MCI. The colours featured - blue, yellow and pink - represent trust, optimism and vibrancy, values that matter as the committee looks at strategies for the future.

Ms Hazirah said: "The letter E is made to look like a ladder. This portrays the idea of achieving future excellence and goals at every step we take. It is in 3-D because I feel we have to look at things from different angles."

The student hopes to enrol in a local polytechnic and become a graphic designer.
