Investors visiting the Singapore Exchange (SGX) website on Wednesday encountered problems accessing company announcements uploaded to the bourse's site.

Attempts to access such documents were unsuccessful starting Wednesday morning and investors were greeted with the message: "Server busy, please try again!"

When contacted, the SGX told The Straits Times that its corporate announcements page "is intermittently unavailable" and that the bourse was "working on resolving the issue".

The SGX said investors can access the announcements section via the following link: http://infopub.sgx.com/SitePages/RSSAnnouncementToday.aspx.

The link works on the Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers but not on the Google Chrome browser.

Listed companies publish corporate updates including results announcements, management changes and acquisitions in this section of the website. This is in line with the disclosure regime advocated by the local bourse.

The peak period for companies to upload documents on the SGX website usually starts after 5pm when the local market closes.
