TEE group bags two contracts worth $130 million in Singapore, Malaysia

SINGAPORE - Real estate and engineering group, TEE, has been awarded two contracts worth approximately $130 million in Singapore and Malaysia, taking their order books past the half-a-billion dollar mark so far this year.

The group won an estimated $30 million contract from Frasers Centrepoint Limited (FCL) to provide Addition and Alteration works at Centrepoint Shopping Centre at Orchard Road.

This is the company's second project from FCL, whose subsidiary had in April appointed TEE to provide engineering works for Frasers Tower - a 38-storey office tower linked with a retail podium in Singapore's Central Business District.

The group's second contract worth approximately $100 million (RM266,750,000) went to PBT Engineering Sdn Bhd, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of TEE.

The company will execute and complete a mixed-use development project in Cyberjaya, Malaysia for TEE Resources.

With both contracts, TEE group has an outstanding order of about $540 million, a company press release stated.

"We are pleased to be appointed to carry out A&A works for Centrepoint Shopping Centre, an iconic mall in Orchard," Mr Eric Phua, Managing Director of TEE's Engineering business, said. "Being involved in two consecutive projects from FCL further attest our engineering capabilities, and our established track record where new clients become repeat clients," he said.

TEE Group was established in the 1980s, and has grown from a general electrical contractor to an established Integrated Engineering, Real Estate and Infrastructure Group, with operations spanning primarily in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and New Zealand.

With a strong brand position, TEE has been able to secure prominent projects both locally and regionally.
