STI opens higher as trading resumes after delay

SINGAPORE - The stock market opened up 9.37 points at 3,331.69 as trading resumed after a three and a half hour delay on Wednesday morning. Traders had been unable to react to the US market where the Dow had closed on Tuesday at another record high.

The Singapore Exchange had said this morning trading was delayed due to a software defect which caused a system problem.
