SINGAPORE - The Straits Times Index edged up 4.25 points to 2,863.71 on Monday, on weak trading volumes.
DBS was up 6 cents to $16.66 while OCBC also moved up 1 cent to $8.69.
The week is expected to be an edgy one for traders as volumes slow during the traditional year-end break.
Highlights at the opening bell
- Jason Holdings chairman and CEO Jason Sim is involved in a contractual dispute with CIMB securities, the firm said.
- OKP secures S$94.6 million project to build a viaduct from TPE to PIE.
- China Fisheries and its parent Pacific Andes Resources have requested for a mandatory suspension of the trading of their shares. Both firms are embroiled in a probe by financial regulators in Singapore and Hong Kong.
