SPH stalwart Sng Ngoi May to retire

SINGAPORE - Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) announced on Thursday (Jan 15) that Mrs Sng Ngoi May will relinquish her appointment as executive vice-president of retail property management with effect from Feb 1, 2015, and will take on the role of an adviser to the company on retail property management.

Mrs Sng, 69, joined Times Publishing Bhd, which was later merged with SPH, in 1981 as group editorial manager. She served throughout the years in various management positions within SPH, including as director of Orchard 290 Ltd (owner of Paragon) since 1997.

She has also been chairman of the Orchard Road Business Association since September 2006.

Said Mr Alan Chan, chief executive officer of SPH: "I would like to thank May for her many years of dedicated service to SPH. She has helped build a solid foundation for our property portfolio, and contributed immensely to the success of our three shopping malls."
