SINGAPORE - Dr Sascha Hower has resigned as chief operating officer of Singapore Post, making him the latest high profile departure at the postal company.

Dr Hower, 38, is leaving to pursue new career opportunities overseas.

The German national was previously a junior partner at McKinsey & Company in Dusseldorf.

He joined SingPost on Jan 3, 2012, to oversee the optimisation and synergies across all of SingPost's operations.

There has been a succession of departure at the senior management and board level since Dr Wolfgang Baier announced last December he was quitting as SingPost chief executive.

Dr Hower is also CEO of Quantium Solutions, - the international arm for the SingPost's e-commerce logistics business.
