Singapore shares open 1.56% higher on Friday

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Friday (Nov 11), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,834.09 in early trade, up 1.56 per cent, or 44.21 points.

Around 62.7 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 86 to 46.
