SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Monday (Sept 5), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,836.49 in early trade, up 1.16 per cent, or 32.57 points.
Around 59 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 103 to 34.
