SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday (April 26), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,884.05 in early trade, down 0.56 per cent, or 16.23 points.

Around 104.2 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 72 to 62.
