Singapore shares open 0.34% lower on Friday

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,852.45 in early trade, down 0.34 per cent, or 9.72 points.

Around 178.8 million shares exchanged hands.

Losers beat gainers 67 to 96.
