SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Tuesday (August 16), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,875.2 in early trade, up 0.27 per cent, or 7.99 points.
Around 36.3 million shares exchanged hands.
Gainers beat losers 68 to 39.
