Singapore shares open 0.24% lower on Tuesday

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened lower on Tuesday (May 16), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,256.49 in early trade, down 0.24 per cent, or 7.72 points.

Around 75.6 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 94 to 58.
