Singapore shares open 0.22% higher on Tuesday

SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Tuesday (March 15), with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 2,853.41 in early trade, up 0.22 per cent, or 6.35 points.

Around 154.3 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 82 to 62.
