SINGAPORE - Singapore shares opened higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index at 3,350.91 in early trade, up 0.10 per cent, or 3.24 points.

Around 173.1 million shares exchanged hands.

Gainers beat losers 98 to 60.
