SIIC Environment Holdings wins project in Yiyang, China

SINGAPORE - Water-treatment specialist SIIC Environment Holdings said its unit - which it owns 75.5 per cent of - has been awarded a project by the Housing and Urban Development Bureau in Yiyang North City in China.

The investment is about 99.5 million yuan (S$20.7 million), and includes building and operating a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity ranging from 40,000 to 80,000 tons a day, for a concessionary period of 30 years.

This is not expected to have a material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the firm for the year ending Dec 31.
