SINGAPORE - The South China Morning Post's chief executive officer Robin Hu is stepping down from his post to join Singapore investment company Temasek.

Mr Hu will join Temasek as the joint head of its sustainability and stewardship group - a new senior leadership role - with effect from Dec 1.

He will serve in the role alongside Ms Cheo Hock Kuan, who is currently head of the group.

A Temasek spokesman said Mr Hu "brings a wealth of business experience to Temasek and we look forward to him joining us later this year".

Correction note: An earlier version of the story stated that Robin Hu will be joining Temasek Holdings. This is incorrect as Mr Hu is joining Temasek International.
