SINGAPORE - Pacific Andes Resources Development said on Tuesday (Dec 14) that its executive chairman Ng Joo Siang has stepped down from his role as a director and chairman with immediate effect.

He will be replaced by Ms Jessie Ng Puay Yee, who will also become a member of the nominating committee of the board.

Mr Ng will continue to act as adviser to the company.

Pacific Andes said that Mr Ng's departure is part of the group's long-term succession planning. It added that Ms Ng, who joined the company in 1995, has been building on her many years of experience within it, including taking charge of global sales and marketing for the group's frozen fish and seafood products.

The company also announced on Tuesday the resignation of executive director Teh Hong Eng to pursue other personal commitments. As a result, Ms Ng will cease to be an alternate director to Ms Teh. Chan Tak Hei, a director at China Fishery, will also cease to be an alternate director to Pacific Andes executive director Ng Joo Kwee.
