SINGAPORE - Mainboard-listed infrastructure and civil engineering company, OKP Holdings said on Tuesday (June 21) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Eng Lam Contractors, has won an $18 million contract for the improvement of the drainage system along Lorong 22 to 44, Geylang, from PUB, Singapore's national water agency.
Under this 30-month contract, Eng Lam will be upgrading drains and culverts. The contract will begin on June 27 and is expected to be completed by December 2018.
Group managing director, Mr Or Toh Wat said: "This contract marks our fourth win this year. Over the medium-term, given the sustained pipeline of public infrastructure projects in Singapore, we expect the industry outlook to be optimistic and that demand for civil engineering expertise will continue."
Earlier in June 2016, Eng Lam was awarded two contracts worth $54.7 million by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for road resurfacing works along seven major expressways.
With these latest contracts, the total value of contracts secured in 2016 amounted to S$82.5 million and boosted the net construction order book to $394.8 million, with contracts extending to 2019.
