SINGAPORE - Mainboard-listed Noble Group announced on Friday that it would be announcing its financial results for the period to June 30, 2015, on August 13.

The embattled commodities giant said also that in addition to its normal conference call, it intends to hold a follow-up Investor Information Day in Singapore.

"The focus of this initiative, which will incorporate ample opportunities for questions and answers, will be a comprehensive explanation of how Noble's business works and the findings of the PwC Assurance Review," Noble said in statement.

The results will be released after the close of the Singapore market and will be followed at 6:30pm by a conference call open to anyone who wishes to participate.

Noble moved earlier this month to address criticism of its financial-reporting practices by appointing an independent third party, accounting firm PwC, to review how it values some of its assets.

Details of the results call and the respective toll free numbers will be released well in advance of Aug 13, as will the arrangements for the meetings to be held during the Investor Information Day, the company said.

Noble's net profit for the first quarter fell 30 per cent to US$106.5 million (S$145.79) on a slump in China-related commodities.
