Bank exec's PC hacked in Bangladesh heist

MANILA • The computer of a Bangladesh central bank official was hacked to carry out one of the largest cyber heists in history.

Mr John Gomes, Bangladesh Ambassador to the Philippines, disclosed this yesterday to a Philippine panel investigating how US$81 million (S$112 million) stolen from Bangladesh's central bank ended up in Manila.

Tesla Motors to offer $2.3b in new shares

NEW YORK • Tesla Motors Inc will offer up to US$1.7 billion (S$2.3 billion) of new common stock to finance the accelerated launch of its new Model 3 electric sedan, the electric luxury carmaker said on Wednesday.

Tesla shares fell 2.2 per cent following the announcement, which came after markets closed.

Petronas' profit dives 60% in first quarter
