1 Wilmar International and the Saigon Union of Trading Cooperatives have set up a joint venture, Nam Duong International Foodstuff, to make sauces and condiments to sell in Vietnam and abroad.

2 TEE Land associate Chewathai is buying a 6,544 sq m freehold plot in Petchakasem Road in Bangkok for 316.3 million baht (S$12.4 million) to develop into a high-rise condo.

3 Pteris Global, which supplies airport support equipment, has secured contracts worth $64.2 million. One is for the design, supply, installation and testing of equipment at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in China.

4 Global Palm Resources is likely to report substantially lower net profit for the quarter ended Sept 30 compared with the preceding quarter, owing to a slide in the sales revenue of crude palm oil and palm kernel.

5 EnGroCorporation will report a loss for the third quarter ended Sept 30, partly owing to losses from its China joint ventures and a weaker performance from the cement and ready-mix concrete business in Singapore.
