1 Leader Environmental Technologies says it expects to report a significant loss for the third quarter ended Sept 30, mainly due to an impairment in the value of its investment in an associate. There are also some doubtful debts.

2 Perennial's retail bonds notched up a strong debut yesterday. The price of the bonds, which have a coupon of 4.65 per cent, jumped to $1.013 on a volume of 3.7 million traded.

3 Logistics player GKE Corporation plans to buy a 70 per cent stake in marine logistics service provider and chemical warehouse operator Marquis Services for $2.94 million.

4 ARA Asset Management unit ARA Korea has launched ARA ShinYoung Residential Development Real Estate Investment Co. Its first investment is a Seoul project that will cost 43 billion won (S$52.9 million) to develop.

5 Rabobank forecasts that global demand for palm oil certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil will double in five years, from 5.3 million tonnes in 2014 to 11 million by 2020.
