Market highlights

1 Temasek Holdings will launch six- and 12-year bonds in euros.The net proceeds will be used by Temasek and its investment holdings firms to fund their ordinary course of business.

2 The world economy is going through a "tepid" recovery, International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde said yesterday, adding that growth in advanced economies should be higher, reported AFP.

3 Steel firm Oriental Group expects a net loss for the year to Dec 31, partly due to lower revenues and profit margins as demand fell. Production at its unit XHRC has been halted but costs are still being incurred.

4 Auric Pacific, which makes Sunshine bread, will report a significant loss for the year to Dec 31 partly due to impairment losses and costs attributed to the closure of non-performing retail outlets.

5 Electronics firm Aztech will report a loss for the fourth quarter and full year to Dec 31, mostly due to losses in the material and marine logistics segment.
