Market highlights

  1. Oil prices extended their rally in Asia, buoyed by hopes of extra stimulus measures in the euro zone and Japan that could help boost demand in the face of a global supply glut, Reuters reported.
  2. Thai Beverage's Fraser and Neave is going to "bid without condition" to buy SABMiller's Peroni and Grolsch beer brands, the Thai firm said yesterday, Reuters reported.
  3. OUE Hospitality Trust saw a 4.5 per cent drop in distribution per stapled security to 1.7 cents for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31. Gross revenue rose 8.6 per cent to $33 million and net property income rose 7 per cent to $28.8 million.
  4. Hu An Cable's Taiwan Depository Receipts will be delisted from the Taiwan Stock Exchange from Jan 26.
  5. GKE Corp's 70 per cent-owned unit, Marquis, has obtained an option to purchase a block at 7 Kwong Min Road, Singapore, from Duchess Logistics & Whsg for $5.4 million.
