Market highlights

  1. United Overseas Bank has priced its latest bond offering at a coupon rate of 3.5 per cent for $750 million subordinated notes maturing on Feb 27, 2029. The notes are sold at par.
  2. Lifebrandz said a proposed placement of 167 million shares to Australia-based Pramana Capital has been terminated by mutual consent.
  3. Singapore Technologies Engineering said its electronics arm, ST Electronics, has set up a subsidiary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to offer engineering services for mass rapid transit projects and related solutions.
  4. Pharmesis International yesterday warned that it expects to report a net loss for the fourth quarter and full year ended Dec 31, due mainly to lower revenue from its prescribed-drug segment and impairment of its assets.
  5. CNMC Goldmine Holdings has posted a fourth-quarter net loss of US$1.9 million (S$2.7 million), against earnings of US$3.3 million previously. Revenue for the three months to Dec 31 slumped by 44.2 per cent to US$5.2 million.
